Puppy Socialization and Basic Obedience Classes

Congratulations! You’re the proud parent of an adorable new pup. Is she a typical healthy puppy? Does she seem timid and shy, or excessively bold and assertive?  Puppy Socialization classes are designed to teach pups and owners how to be comfortable, confident and social in their world. Socializing your puppy during the crucial first four months of her life helps ensure that she grows up to be a well-balanced, confident, mature dog. Training a puppy begins the moment you bring her into your home when bonding, shaping and learning begins. Jill will show you how to take advantage of various opportunities to make sure your puppy is thoroughly socialized with dogs and people of all ages and stages.

Puppy training addresses all typical puppy behavior and the beginning of obedience training. Jill specializes in problem behaviors, helping a timid pup become braver, for example, or toning down an overly assertive one, creating a more balanced dog.

Jill will coach you and your pup in small groups of dogs and wherever people and dogs meet and greet. She will guide you through the baby steps of training your puppy to be a happy, well-adjusted dog, and give you the confidence to properly and safely socialize your puppy anywhere you and your family go.

Requirements: Pups must be between 10 wks and 6 mos. old with 2 DHPP vaccinations.

Registration Fee:  $200 for six weeks; 1 1/2  hour session
